The Internet is full of clean hackers, and it’s hard to keep up with which ones are really worth trying.
TikTok and Instagram users have been sharing their favorite bathroom cleaning tips that use affordable items to provide incredible results.
From using a Dishmatic sponge to keep the shower clean to using a magic eraser to keep the bathtub gleaming, these cleaning fans can keep you clean within your budget.
On the Facebook group “Clean Mom”, a woman revealed how to transform dirty grout with only two ingredients.
She first mixes bleach and sodium bicarbonate into a paste, and then uses an old toothbrush to apply it to the cement paste.
In her post, she added: “In most places, I didn’t even leave it. Just swipe it lightly and it disappears.”
Jeannie, the mother of four, posted on her TikTok channel and shared how to keep the shower clean so you don’t have to perform a large-scale deep clean.
She added: “I also put it in the children’s bathroom. After they take a bath, the older children will quickly scrub it so that the bathtub can be kept clean.”
TikTok user lenacleansup showed how to prevent bathroom mirrors from fogging even in the hottest shower room.
To prove that it was effective, Lena left the lower part of the mirror without detergent, turned on the shower, the lower part immediately began to fog, while the top remained crystal clear.
Vanesa Amaro, who calls herself the cleaning queen of TikTok, revealed how to easily clean a non-slip bathtub with the right product.
Starting from the bathtub, the non-slip floor was soiled and covered with mud, but when Vanessa was finished, it looked completely new.
Vanesa said: “You can use any product you want, such as Scrub Daddy’s Power Paste, you can also use Soft Scrub, Barkeepers, Ajax, whatever you want.”
Vanesa added that you should moisten the bathtub slightly before starting work to make the product easier to disperse.
Thebigcleanco, a cleaning expert from Australia, also revealed how to clean the toilet properly.
She explained that although most people use disinfectant spray on the toilet, which is a good thing, they may not actually use the product properly.
This means that no matter how many times you think it has been “cleaned”, it may breed bacteria.
“You need to read the label. These supermarket sprays need to stay on the surface for a full 10 minutes to kill any bacteria.”
Therefore, next time you clean the bathroom, be sure to spray the toilet first and let it sit for ten minutes, or the time the product tells you, and then wipe it.
Together with the cleaning fan, it shows how to make a simple cleaning paste that does not require chemicals and can even be used on your oven.
