Hermetically sealed packaging protects medicines from external influences such as humidity, oxygen, and light. Sigpack HML is a new horizontal flow packaging machine from Bosch Packaging Technology, which can reliably seal packaging blow-fill-seal vial cards, blisters and various medical technology products makeup remover wipes oem (including pens and inhalers).
The compact size of Sigpack HML means it can be installed in facilities with limited space. It can be integrated into the production line or used as a standalone system to increase flexibility.
Sigpack HML is suitable for small batch and large batch production. Depending on the required output, the film reel can be replaced manually during a short machine shutdown, or with the help of a fusion splicer. The fusion splicer fully automatically connects the old and new films to avoid interference, such as at the film former.
The product is transported to the flow packaging machine through the transport chain. The horizontal and vertical film sealing uses the proven Longdwell heat sealing technology. The long sealing time leads to tightly sealed seams, which is the key to protecting medicines. The output of this machine is up to 350 sealed packs/min.
The sealing roller for horizontal packaging can be opened from both sides. This prevents the film from coming into contact with the heated sealing roller and being damaged during machine downtime. For products that are particularly temperature sensitive, the cover plate of the sealing station can be cooled. Sigpack HML also provides ultrasonic sealing, allowing customers to pack heat-sensitive products gently.
Upon request, Sigpack HML can be equipped with additional product protection options, such as “no gaps and no seals”. This applies particularly to product stacks in blister or BFS packages, which are checked again shortly before they reach the cross-seal. If the stacking position is not correct, the cross seal will stop, which helps to avoid product scrap or damage to the sealing jaws. The optional MAP module (modified atmosphere packaging) provides the best product stability by removing residual oxygen in the sealed packaging. The sensor monitors and regulates the gas content of the package.
Based on the capabilities of the Bosch system, Sigpack HML can be combined with other equipment, such as cartoning machines and tracking and tracing systems to achieve seamless traceability of packaged products.
